Allocation Program Details
When we started hope & grace wines nearly a decade ago, we wanted to offer single-varietal single-vineyard wines that embodied a unique sense of place, embraced each vintage, and highlighted the classic characteristics of the wines we loved, all created by Charles and his gentle guiding hand in the winemaking process.
Hendricks Wines started in 2004 when Charles separated a small block of grapes that was to be meant for our hope & grace Cabernet Sauvignon. Charles knew it was exceptional fruit in the vineyard, it was hand-selected and we produced just 8 barrels that year. When we tasted it after several months in French Oak, it was unparalleled, worthy of its own label, worthy of bearing Charles’ surname, Hendricks.
Hand-selecting the perfect fruit in only extraordinary vintages, Hendricks Wines embody the flavors, intensity and depth of each varietal while embracing the vintage and vineyard of the year. In 2004, 2005, 2009, and 2012, we produced small barrel selections of Cabernet Sauvignon. We were able to offer our 100% Pinot Noir from the Santa Lucia Highlands in 2008 and 2010.
